What AirportParking

Premium, priority and fast track parking

The closest self-park spaces, sometimes with wider bays or fast-track security included. What you get for the extra money.

Many airports sell a premium self-park product: you park the car yourself, but in the closest spaces to the terminal.

What can be included

  • Closest spaces and wider bays — for example Gatwick Premium Parking (a 2-minute walk, same level as the terminal), Belfast International's Premium Car Park and London City's Official Premium Car Park (bays 50% bigger).
  • Fast-track security — Liverpool's Fast Track car parks, Belfast City's Premier Car Park (two Fast Track passes), Glasgow's Fast Track parking (up to five priority passes per car) and Aberdeen's Priority parking include security queue-jumping.
  • Covered walkways — Belfast City Premier and Glasgow Fast Track have covered routes to the terminal.

Is it worth it?

Premium parking costs more than short stay. It can make sense for short business trips, very early flights or travelling with young children. Check exactly what is included on the airport's booking page, and whether the extras (such as fast track) apply at your flight time — Edinburgh's multi-storey fastTRACK access, for example, only applies to bookings arriving between 03:30 and 18:00.
