Drop-off & pick-up
£5.50
Terminal drop-off: £5.50 for 5 minutes, £6.50 for 10 minutes, £25 up to 30 minutes
As stated on the airport’s website, checked 3 October 2026. Charges can change — check before you travel.
The drop-off zones outside Departures at Terminals 2 and 3 are barrier-free and use number-plate cameras. The maximum stay is 30 minutes. Pay online (pay.manchesterairport.co.uk), by phone (03459 013318) or by AutoPay — only after your visit, by midnight the following day. No cash or cheques.
Unpaid visits get a £100 Parking Charge Notice, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. Manchester also warns of a £100 charge for picking passengers up in the drop-off zone.
At Terminal 2 you can use the upper forecourt (next to check-in) or the lower forecourt on the Arrivals level (2.0m height limit).
Free alternative: the free Drop Off area in JetParks 1 (postcode M90 5AZ), with a free shuttle bus to the terminals taking around 6 minutes.
Picking someone up
Use the Express Pick Up zones — at Terminal 2 follow the signs for P3; at Terminal 3 follow signs for T3 Express Pick Up. The maximum stay is 15 minutes (Terminal 2 costs £6.60) and overstaying at T2 Express Pick Up incurs a £60 charge. If you need longer or want to meet people inside, park in the multi-storey/Short Stay car parks.
Getting there by public transport
- Manchester Airport station sits between Terminals 2 and 3 (about a 10-minute walk to T2 and 5 minutes to T3), with four platforms and regular trains to Manchester Piccadilly and direct services further afield.
- For trams, buses and coaches, see the airport's travel pages.
Blue Badge parking & EV charging
Blue Badge & assistance
Blue Badge parking is available in the multi-storey car parks next to both terminals and in all JetParks car parks (free, wheelchair-accessible shuttle buses with priority boarding). Blue Badge holders can use the drop-off zones free of charge for drop-off only — the travelling passenger shows their badge to the traffic marshals on entry.
There is a help point at the free drop-off area in JetParks 1 for passengers who need assistance.
Tips for Manchester
- The former T1 Multi Storey is now Mid Stay Multi Storey (signposted P12), linked to Terminal 2 Departures by the covered Sky Bridge — about a 10–15 minute walk.
- T2 West Multi Storey (P3) is barrier-free with no pay machines — pay online.
- Car parks are signposted by P-number: T2 East Multi Storey is P1, T2 West is P3, Mid Stay Multi Storey is P12 and T3 Multi Storey is P14.
- JetParks 1 only serves Terminal 2; JetParks 3 and JetParks Ringway have shuttles to both terminals.
Manchester says it is an IPC Accredited Airport Parking Provider and offers free cancellation on parking bookings (terms apply).
